Appointments Types

STANDARD APPOINTMENTS
Standard face to face appointments and telehealth appointments are booked in for 15 minutes and are best for dealing with a single enquiry or two simple enquiries, if you require a longer appointment, please call the clinic directly. Please refer to our fees section for our current fee schedule.

LONG APPOINTMENTS
Please call to book any long appointments for more complex enquiries or multiple issues. Long appointments are required for Childhood vaccinations, Mental Health and Pregnancy/Antenatal, skin checks, mirena or implanon insertion or removal. Please refer to our fees section for our current fee schedule.

If you are having significant chest pain, shortness of breath, heavy bleeding or think it may be an emergency, please call 000 immediately.

Services

CHILDHOOD IMMUNISATIONS
All childhood immunisation appointments are 30 mins. The appointment includes a vaccine component with both the nurse and your GP. A dedicated appointment with your GP , who will conduct a thorough Blue Book check, and will give you the opportunity to discuss any developmental concerns, referrals, prescriptions, etc.

TEST RESULTS
Test results are an important part of your medical care. If your results are all clear your doctor may call you. If an explanation of your results and/or further action is needed you will need to make an appointment to see your doctor and a standard or long consultation fee will apply. You may be able to book a telehealth appointment to discuss your results with the doctor.

Please be aware that clinic staff can only advise if your results have returned.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATES
Medical certificates are legal documents and are permitted only if you present for consultation with a doctor with a valid reason for work absence. We request that patients let their doctor know on the day of the appointment if they require a medical certificate for work or school.

Please note that we are not permitted by law to backdate medical certificates, and the date of consultation/attendance will be marked on the document. Dates of illness will reflect the actual duration of illness, and this may predate the presentation.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
We strongly recommend all patients see their doctor for repeat prescriptions to maintain appropriate management of your health condition. Please book an appointment at your earliest convenience.

OZEMPIC / MEDICAL MARIJUANA / THERAPEUTIC VAPE PRESCRIPTIONS/ OPIATES/ SLEEPING TABLETS (Scheduled 8 drugs)
Please note that not all of our doctors prescribe the above medications or devices. If your appointment is regarding any of the above it is best to call reception prior to making your appointment to ensure the doctor you wish to see doesn't exclude any of the above from their prescribing.

REFERRAL TO SPECIALISTS
It is essential that you make an appointment to see your GP for any referral to a specialist. Please note that we are not permitted by law to back date referrals, so please ensure that you have a current referral before you see the specialist.
