Dr Ibrahim Merei

Dr. Ibrahim Merei earned his Doctor of Medicine degree with high distinction from the University of Notre Dame Sydney. Prior to studying medicine, he completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Class I Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney.

Following medical school, Dr. Merei gained broad clinical experience across several major hospitals in Sydney, including St George Hospital and The Sutherland Hospital.

He is passionate about all aspects of general practice, with special interests in chronic disease management, diabetes care, weight management, and procedures such as the removal of lipomas and sebaceous cysts, as well as wedge resections for ingrown toenails.

Dr. Merei has a strong interest in skin cancer prevention and management. He performs comprehensive skin checks and a range of procedures, including skin cancer excisions. He is committed to the early detection and effective treatment of skin cancers and continues to expand his expertise in dermoscopy and procedural dermatology.

In addition to his work in general practice, Dr. Merei regularly assists in surgery, allowing him to maintain advanced procedural skills and stay current with the management of common surgical conditions.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and wildlife photography.
