Meet Dr Patricia Mulholland
Dr. Trish is a dedicated General Practitioner with a strong background in rural and remote medicine, particularly in serving Indigenous communities. After completing her MBBS in 2014 at the University of Queensland, she began her medical career at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where she gained foundational experience across a wide range of clinical settings.
Driven by a commitment to accessible and culturally informed healthcare, Dr. Trish spent several years supporting regional hospitals throughout Queensland. These roles deepened her interest in rural health and expanded her expertise in both hospital-based and primary care medicine.
Most recently, she worked in Bamaga, a remote community near the northern tip of Cape York, providing comprehensive and culturally sensitive care to Indigenous populations.
Dr. Trish continues to undertake intermittent contracts, delivering essential GP services to rural and remote communities in need. This enables her to maintain strong ties with underserved areas and respond flexibly to regions experiencing critical workforce shortages.
She is particularly skilled in managing both acute and chronic health conditions and has played a leading role in rural emergency departments, consistently demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and clinical leadership.
