About the role 

The Workforce Manager is responsible for workforce planning, forecasting, rostering, and labour optimisation across Myhealth's national network of medical centres. 

You'll work closely with Operations Managers, Practice Managers, Local Partners, and Support Centre teams to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time, balancing service delivery, compliance requirements, and financial performance. 

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical capability with practical operational experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead workforce planning and demand forecasting across the clinic network. 
• Develop and optimise rosters to ensure effective clinical and administrative coverage. 
• Monitor workforce utilisation, productivity, and labour costs to drive operational efficiency. 
• Manage short-notice staffing challenges and workforce coverage requirements. 
• Act as the subject matter expert for workforce management systems and scheduling tools. 
• Ensure workforce practices comply with relevant awards, legislation, and organisational policies. 
• Analyse workforce data and provide actionable insights to operational leaders. 
• Identify opportunities to improve rostering processes, workforce productivity, and cost outcomes. 
• Partner with Practice Managers, Operations Managers, and Local Partners to support workforce decisions. 
• Deliver regular workforce reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.  

What we're looking for: 

• 5+ years' experience in workforce planning, rostering, or workforce management within a multi-site environment. 
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including advanced Excel capability. 
• Experience using workforce management and scheduling systems. 
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. 
• Ability to influence operational decision-making through workforce insights and recommendations. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Desirable 

• Experience within healthcare, medical centres, retail, hospitality, or other service-based industries. 
• Knowledge of workforce compliance requirements, awards, and labour legislation. 
• Experience implementing workforce optimisation initiatives and process improvements.
