Mana Kosugi (she/her) is a warm and culturally responsive registered psychologist, passionate about supporting individuals through life’s complexities with compassion and clinical insight. She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the Universidad Instituto de Empresa in Spain.

Mana brings a global perspective shaped by her lived experience across Japan, Spain, and Australia. Her clinical practice is grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care. She has worked across public hospitals, private practices, and community services in Australia, and provided crisis counselling through Lifeline Japan. Her diverse clinical background includes work with children, adolescents, and adults in paediatric, inpatient, and multidisciplinary settings.

Mana supports clients with a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, emotion regulation, identity exploration, and adjustment to illness. She has a special interest in working with international students, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, and individuals navigating cross-cultural and intergenerational issues. With her background in high-performance academic and professional environments, she understands the pressures of perfectionism, self-doubt, and transitions.

Prior to her career in psychology, Mana worked in global event coordination and marketing, including contributing to the Olympic Games. These diverse professional experiences have enhanced her interpersonal communication skills and deepened her commitment to human-centred care.

Mana also brings research expertise through her work at the University of Melbourne’s Contemplative Studies Centre, where she explored the therapeutic applications and limitations of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs), and how such programs can be adapted for individual needs.
